About Cliff
Cliff Eisenberg’s career in food is rooted in hard work, family tradition, and a respect for craft. After graduating from the University of Chicago in 1976, he spent more than a decade at a major food processor learning the meat business from the ground up, working through production, training under a master sausage maker, and eventually rising to Vice President.

Cliff helped bring hot dogs to the 1984 Olympics, professional sports venues, MLB retail markets, stadiums, arenas, and movie theaters across the country.

In 1993, Cliff joined his father, Marvin, and brother, Howard, to launch a premium all-beef hot dog and gourmet sausage brand that earned a loyal national following and was eventually sold in 2017.

Today, Cliff continues that legacy with DBJ Foods and Marv’s Premium, named in honor of his father. Made in a state-of-the-art, USDA-certified facility, Marv’s Premium franks and sausages use fresh, domestically sourced protein, fine seasonings, and traditional smoking methods to deliver bold flavor without compromise.

Cliff’s goal is simple: create a better-for-you premium beef frank that is lower in fat, high in protein, and full of the flavor hot dog lovers expect.

Outside of work, Cliff enjoys time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. A longtime youth baseball and softball coach, he still values teamwork, leadership, and the joy of the game. He also spends time at his outdoor smoker, experimenting with recipes and developing new products.
 
About Marv
Marvin “Marv” Eisenberg was born in Chicago in 1928, the son of immigrant parents whose hard work during the Great Depression shaped his lifelong values: family, perseverance, selflessness, and a commitment to excellence.

After serving in Japan following World War II, Marv returned home and entered the meat business. In 1967, he risked his savings to buy a small corned beef company on Chicago’s South Side. With one employee and relentless determination, he built it into a trusted national supplier of premium corned beef.

In 1992 with support from Marv, Cliff and Howard launched a premium line of hot dogs and sausages. Their recipes, dedication, and loyal team helped create a successful brand that was eventually sold to a major food manufacturer.

“My father taught me a strong work ethic, commitment to family, and passion for excellence,” Cliff says. “That is why I named this new premium brand in his memory.”
